Price for Kyiv public transport single tickets goes up on Feb 1

February 1, a new fare for a single trip in public transport is introduced. It will cost 3 hryvnia,

deputy chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Mykhailo Kostiuk informed.

However, he noted that the wholesale consumer of transport services will not feel the rise in price as the cost of travel will remain at the level of 2013.

For example, a monthly ticket for any one type of ground transportation will cost 80 UAH, for two - 130 UAH, and for all kinds of public transport - 160 UAH. Subway monthly ticket will cost 95 UAH, a monthly ticket for subway and one land transport - 150 UAH. Ticket for all modes of public transport will cost 230 UAH, as it costs now.

The cost of any travel for students in accordance with the law is 50% of the full cost of the ticket. In addition, the increase in the cost of a single trip municipal transport will not affect vulnerable people. All benefit holders will continue to enjoy free transport services.
