Ukraine and Russia will restore cooperation in aircraft manufacturing and shipbuilding in the nearest time. This topic was discussed in the course of the meeting between President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and Vice Prime Minister Yuriy Boiko, the press service of the President reports.
"We have discussed negotiations with Russia on the restoration of aircraft manufacturing and contracts in shipbuilding sector to be signed in the nearest time," Boiko said after the meeting with the Head of State.
According to him, Yanukovych emphasized the necessity of accelerating negotiations in that direction. "The task is to accelerate the processes that will lead to production integration, create new jobs and regain economic performance of these industries," the Vice Prime Minister said noting that the implementation of the given projects would positively influence the economy of the state.
Yanukovych and Boiko also discussed Ukrainian-Russian cooperation in the space sphere.
