Leader of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov believes that the opposition's demands, put forward during the conciliatory board of the Verkhovna Rada, are aimed at the collapse of the state.

According to Yefremov, dismissal of interior minister Vitaly Zakharchenko will lead to the collapse of the Interior Ministry system. "Opposition leader Vitaly Klitschko insists on dismissal of interior minister Vitaly Zakharchenko and disbandment of the “Berkut” Special Forces. We cannot agree with his prerogative to destroy the system of internal bodies. Neutralizing all the law enforcement agencies is a crime against the state and the people," Yefremov said in the Parliament, ForUm correspondent reports.

He also criticized the opposition's demand to listen to the report of Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Pshonka on why the Law "On elimination of negative impacts and prevention to prosecution and punishment of persons regarding the events that took place during the peaceful assembly" is not effective.

"They want the Prosecutor General to report on the document, which they consciously voted for in the Parliament, without giving the Prosecutor a chance to work on the document. Our colleagues should learn to work in the Parliament or resign from their posts," he said.
