Prysiazhniuk: Budget revenues from agricultural sector grows up by 37% since 2010

The budget inflow provided by domestic farmers in 2013 made up 47 billion hryvnia. Thus, revenues have grown by 37% since 2010. This figure has become one of the largest among all industries. In this regard, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food will insist on strengthening budgetary support for agribusiness while adopting the budget for 2014 in the Verkhovna Rada. 

"Last year, the agricultural sector remained the revenue generating sector of the domestic economy. Summarizing the results of the year 2013, we expect 47 billion hryvnia of revenues from agribusiness. It is worth noting that filling the budget revenues is growing steadily every year. In particular, since 2010, this figure has increased by 37%. This is a significant increase," minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk said.

He noted that the agricultural sector is one of the leaders in pumping up the budget among the domestic industries. Simultaneously, budget support for the industry is not sufficient.
