Funds allocated from the state budget-2014 for the development of sport will be not enough to restore fully the country's infrastructure, youth and sports minister Ravil Safiullin stated before opening of a reconstructed base for training of Olympic athletes in water sports in Brovary, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The funds allocated from the state budget-2014 will be not enough. Despite the excellent performance of our athletes and high rates in sport, the Ukrainian sport infrastructure has not developed during the years of independence of our country," he said.
According to him, the best sports facility in Ukraine is situated in Concha Zaspa, which was built in 1974 before Moscow's "Olympics-80." "We want to get from the state budget more funds than in 2013," the minister noted.
