A number of Ukrainian companies deny information spread in the media and social networks about participation of their labor collectives in the Ukrainian strike, announced by the opposition politicians on the eve of the New Year holidays, representatives of the enterprises told ForUm correspondents.

Thus, the press service of the Lviv City Council noted that all Lviv public utilities and businesses, public transport operate normally. At the same time, no one hinders people to participate in the protests, particularly in the Independence Square in Kyiv.

Furthermore, according to the latest information of culture management of Lviv City Council, Lviv theaters operate in normal mode, performances are not cancelled. "The decision to strike was not taken," the press service of the Lviv City Council said.

The press service of Cherkasy City Council did not confirm the information about strikes at city utilities. ForUm received the same information from the Lutsk City Council. 

Head of press service of the Dnipropetrovsk City Council Natalia Babachenko also denied the information about strike of the Dnipropetrovsk transport workers. 

The press service of the Kharkiv City Council also assured ForUm that urban transport workers did not strike and do not plan to go on strike, and the information about non-payment of wages is not true.

Representatives of the metallurgical industry also did not confirm their willingness to strike. Acting CEO of Metallurgprom association Oleksandr Zrazhevsky called this strike as a farce and noted that he had no information regarding the participation of metallurgists in this strike.
