Nearly 12 thousand law enforcement officers will protect public order on New Year's Eve. This was announced by head of mass events department of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine Oleg Matveytsov.
According to him, more than 1 thousand events, which are to be attended by more than 700 thousand citizens, are planned for holidays in the territory of Ukraine. "To ensure the protection of public order, the Interior Ministry will involve nearly 12 thousand law enforcement officers," Ministry’s press office quotes him.
Matveytsov noted that the greatest number of scheduled events will be held in Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Odesa regions.
