President Viktor Yanukovych emphasized that the Concept of Local Government Reformation was ready, the press service of the President reported.
The Head of State noted at the meeting of the Council of Regions that in the course of the year, it was necessary to elaborate pilot projects and hold budget experiments "that would provide respective experience in systemic changes".
"I am glad that we have finally adopted the State Strategy of Regional Development until 2020. Now we must ensure the implementation of the Concept of Local Government Reformation. Economic situation does not let us conduct this reform rapidly but I suggest determining this year as the year of local government development," Yanukovych said.
