In 2014, combating corruption will become one of the governmental priorities, President Viktor Yanukovych stated at the meeting of the Council of Regions.
"We must address the issue of corruption very seriously next year. In short, we must declare a decisive war against corruption," the Head of State noted.
"We will create a "hotline" for people and entrepreneurs. I do not envy those who will get under such scissors," Yanukovych said.
The President emphasized that drastic legislative measures would be taken regarding the corrupt officials in law enforcement and regulatory authorities.
"I will address people, society and business to inform us via "hotlines". 2014 will be a special year in this context. I've heard a lot of complaints related to corruption in regions and in Kyiv," the Head of State stressed.
