President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych instructed Prime Minister Mykola Azarov to solve the problem of wage arrears for employees of public institutions of Kyiv till December 30.
"People who blocked the adoption of the decision, shall bear responsibility before their conscience, if any, and the people, who are waiting for the money," he said at the meeting of the Council of Regions, ForUm correspondent reports.
Yanukovych appealed to Azarov with a request to address this issue as soon as possible. "The money should be transferred to accounts of enterprises not later than December 30 so that people have the opportunity to get them," he said.
He also stressed that first deputy head of Kyiv City State Administration Anatoly Holubchenko and the Kyiv City secretary Halyna Hereha are responsibility for ensuring these payments.
