Supplements to the gas contract with Russia have no pitfalls, energy and coal industry minister Eduard Stavytsky told a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The quarterly revision of the gas contract is necessary, because a formula that determines the price may change according to the market. Therefore, it was adopted to check quarterly these coefficients. There are no pitfalls in this, we are not limited additionally," Stavytsky said.
The minister noted that the discount depends more on whether both parties fulfil terms of the contract.
"As for the August debt and payment for the autumn, there is an agreement with Russian colleagues. There payments were postponed till the end of I quarter of the next year. Russian partners met halfway and we are grateful for this," the minister noted.
