Russia amnestied citizen of Ukraine, member of the "Arctic Sunrise" crew, Ruslan Yakushev. It is reported by press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, with reference to the Consulate General of Ukraine in Saint Petersburg.
"The competent authorities of the Russian Federation handed citizen of Ukraine Ruslan Yakushev, a member of the "Arctic Sunrise" crew, the decision on discontinuation of prosecution following the amnesty act," the statement says.
Currently, the Consulate General provides Yakushev with assistance in his early return to homeland, the Foreign Ministry added.
