Real estate title registration simplified

The government has improved the procedure for real estate title registration. From Feb. 12, 2014 the state registration of real estate title and their burdens (restrictions) will be made according to the new, simplified procedure, the Information-Analytical Bulletin of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine informs.

Government experts believe that this resolution of the Cabinet has set new benchmarks in the practice of implementation of real estate title in terms of their registration. The new rules are aimed to maximize naturalness of real estate title registration.

Innovations introduced by this decision will improve quality of administrative services to both legal entities and individuals. First, from Feb. 12, it becomes possible to obtain information about registration from the registers created prior to Jan. 1, 2013. In addition, the rules establish new parameters for documentary appeals, introduce new regulations, delimit providing documents by individuals and legal entities, establish standards for registration of real estate title for members of cooperatives. Buildings constructed in Soviet times also obtain the opportunity to get the "right to life."
