Agreement on Common Aviation Area between Ukraine and the European Union will enter in full force in summer of 2015, Vice Prime Minister Oleksandr Vilkul said today during a working retreat, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to the Vice Prime Minister, the signed agreement on "Open Sky" is a technical point and will be implemented in the next few months.
"We expect the agreement on "Open Sky" to enter in full force in summer of 2015. This means an increase in the number of airlines, flights, increasing competition, service quality and reduce in cost of flights," he said.
Furthermore, Vilkul stressed that as of today 10 low-cost companies are already working in Ukraine, 6 of which have been involved in 2013.
"It has allowed increasing ridership by 7%, despite the Aerosvit bankruptcy," he added.
