In 2014, Ukraine, intends to fully restore the trade and economic relations with the Russian Federation and to reach the level of trade turnover of 2011. This was stated by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov at the meeting with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, the Cabinet’s press office reports.

"In 2014 we intend to renew our trade and economic relations with Russia and to reach a level of at least 2011. For us it is very important because it means jobs, budget revenues. We have to implement at the government level all what the presidents had agreed on," Azarov said.

In turn, Medvedev stressed the need to restore trade turnover. He stressed that for the first time for the post-Soviet history, trade and economic relations between Russia and Belarus came ahead of Ukraine. "It is important to restore the trade-economic and investment cooperation," Medvedev said.
