Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said that Russia had acquired the first tranche of Ukraine's sovereign bonds for $3 billion, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"Yesterday, at my instructions, on the basis of the documents we signed, was acquired the first tranche of Ukrainian sovereign bonds for $3 billion. The money went to the Central Bank of Ukraine yesterday," Medvedev said during a meeting with his Ukrainian PM Mykola Azarov.
