President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych has held a meeting with Prime Minister Mykola Azarov and chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Rybak on the adoption of the state budget 2014 and the fulfillment of all social obligations in the framework of the budget for 2013, the press service of the President reports.
The Head of State has emphasized the importance of immediate adoption of the state budget 2014. "There has been no such situation before. The budget is ready, the state is waiting for the funding and we do not have this document," the President said at the beginning of the meeting.
According to the President, they could continue the parliamentary session for another week. "We have always done so, by the way. We have adopted the budget in the last week of the year," he noted.
In the course of the meeting, the President has stressed the importance of fulfilling all social obligations in the framework of the budget for 2013. Viktor Yanukovych drew attention of Mykola Azarov to the necessity of implementing all social payments by the end of the year. "I mean salaries, pensions and everything that concerns social protection. We must finish everything during this week; we shouldn't postpone it till December 30 and 31," the Head of State said.
In his turn, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov informed that the government was planning to fulfill all the tasks related to the budget for 2013 by December 30.
