Russia promises speed up customs clearance of Ukrainian goods

Ukraine and Russia agreed to coordinate the possible shortening of procedures of customs clearance of Ukrainian goods at the border.

This follows from the Action Plan for the settlement of trade restrictions in bilateral trade for 2013-2014, signed December 17 by economic ministers of the two countries.

The authorized bodies of the parties shall hold the necessary consultations and negotiations to determine persons, transporting goods of Ukrainian origin, whose work is characterized by a low degree of risk in order to identify opportunities to reduce the measures on minimizing the risks, applied to them.

All the necessary activities should be performed before 31 December this year.
