On St. Nicholas Day, President Viktor Yanukovych has visited the Vyshgorod District Orphanage "Liubystok" situated in the village of Novi Petrivtsi, Kyiv region, the President’s press service reports.

The Head of State had a conversation with children and director of the orphanage Mykola Zhadan. The President asked about education and living conditions for children in the orphanage, the needs of children and plans on the improvement of the given conditions and further development of "Liubystok".

According to Mykola Zhadan, children have everything necessary to receive qualitative education and get a profession. In the nearest future, the institution will be fully equipped with computers.

The President promised to provide assistance and presented the multimedia equipment to the orphanage. Viktor Yanukovych also asked whether all the children had tablet computers and promised children to give them tablet computers as a gift.

The children congratulated the Head of State on St. Nicholas Day with a song. Together with Viktor Yanukovych, they lit the lights on the Christmas tree near the orphanage.

"I congratulate you on the holiday of faith and hope. The main thing is to believe in yourself. I will always help you," the President said.

The Head of State also presented gift sets to every child in the orphanage.
