In 2014, Ukraine will provide a three-step increase in the minimum subsistence level, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov declared, opening a government’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

"We will provide a three-step increase in the cost of living for one person in the following year," he said.

According to the Prime Minister, for example, the subsistence level for children from 6 to 18 years has increased by 597 UAH. Pensions and social benefits will increase proportionally.

Azarov noted that subsidy for assistance to families with children, low-income families, disabled from childhood and children with disabilities increased by 22%.
