Draft budget for 2014 is ready

The main budget items for 2014 will be the development of regions, construction and repair of local roads, as well as the development of health systems at the local level. Next year's state budget will be the most socially-oriented of the previous ones, the Information-Analytical Bulletin of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine reports.

As soon as the deputies are ready to consider it, the government will give it to the Parliament. This was stated in TSN Tyzhden on TV Channel 1+1 on Dec. 15, 2013 Serhiy Arbuzov, Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister. Party of Regions chief Oleksandr Efremov, meanwhile, explained during the Verkhovna Rada's Conciliation Council that the main financial document will be submitted to parliament by the end of the week.

The leading approach in the budget appropriations was outlined by Ukraine's President Viktor Yanukovych, who declared that the 2014 state budget should be a budget of regional development.

Therefore, the government, with a full sense of responsibility for the assignment, prepared a draft State Budget of Ukraine 2014. "The Draft State Budget 2014 is ready. And we are ready to send a document to the Parliament as soon as the Parliament is ready to consider it. We're ready. We work with Europe. We work with Russia. We work with all of our trading partners. And as you can see, today economic situation is stable. The Cabinet works, the President works, Verkhovna Rada works. Pensions, salaries and social benefits are paid," Arbuzov said.

The draft budget envisions tens of billions UAH for the regional development, said Yanukovych also expressed hope that economic situation will be better next year. 

Government analysts believe it will become the basis for further increase of salaries, pensions and social benefits. The next year public funding for the construction works, refurbishment and construction of social infrastructure, schools, kindergartens, hospitals, clinics, institutions of culture and sport will be increased.
