Almost 35,000 persons were employed in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (ARC) in the 10 months of 2013. And next year, the Crimean government plans to create over 40,000 new jobs. This was reported in the Council of Ministers of Crimea on Dec. 12, the Information-Analytical Bulletin of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine informs.

The Crimean Council of Ministers continues a systemic implementation of social initiatives of President Viktor Yanukovych to promote effective employment, competitiveness on the labor market, creation of new, high-paying jobs.

To solve these problems, the Crimean center of vocational education operates in Simferopol. Experts say it is one of the best institutions of its kind in the country. Highly qualified professionals who can take a worthy place on the labor market are trained here.

The campus is equipped with modern facilities and is designed for 450 persons. The center owns a major resource base: it includes 18 special classrooms, 12 production workshops, 6 simulators, including training facilities for climbers and divers. The center has developed educational and training programs for 33 professions. It is important that the number of people enrolled in the center increases every year. In particular, 3.8 million people (43.8% of the total number of unemployed in the ARC) graduated from the center in 2011. In the 11 months of 2013, over 62.2% of the total number of unemployed registered in the ARC were trained in the center.

The center is in demand among the Crimeans, as well as among people from other regions of the country. For example, over 2,000 people from other regions of Ukraine were trained here in 2013. Thus, the center has a considerable potential for development and expansion.
