A document, allowing to reduce the gas price for Ukraine to the European average, is expected to be signed at the meeting of the presidents of Ukraine and Russia.
"The time has come when the parties strive for resolving this issue. We did not ask for any discounts, we only talked about European prices, European principles and approaches to pricing. And I hope that we will finally solve this issue at this meeting ... The price could be set at the level of the average European prices. At least, so we discussed with our Russian partners. The final decision will be taken at the meeting of the two presidents," Azarov said in interview with Inter TV-channel.
According to Azarov, all the documents, prepared for the meeting of the Ukrainian-Russian Interstate Commission on December 17 in Moscow, are opened for discussion.
