President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych signed the decree following the meeting with representatives of student youth on December 13, 2013. According to the press service of the Head of State, the decree is aimed at ensuring wider participation of young citizens in deciding issues of society and state development.
In particular, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov is charged with ensuring systematic, efficient and fully informing the public, especially students, about the purpose, content, stages of problematic issues of the European integration of Ukraine, in course of conduct of the relevant negotiations between Ukraine and the European Union.
In addition, the Prime Minister shall involve representatives of student organizations in the preparation of proposals on formation and implementation of internal and external policy of the state, including through participation in the consultations, roundtables, discussions of socio-political development issues.
The head of government, the chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, chairmen of regional, Kyiv and Sevastopol city state administrations shall ensure expanded representation of students in the consultative and advisory bodies of central and local executive authorities.
