According to the State Statistics Service, the volume of agricultural production in Ukraine in January-November 2013 grew by 11.7% year-on-year, the Information-Analytical Bulletin of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine informs.

Also, in the 11 months of 2013, the production at farms grew by 18.4%, households – by 5.2%. In particular, in November gross agricultural product grew by 42.2% year-on-year, and by 31.9% from October 2013.

Agricultural experts emphasize that in 2013 Ukrainian farmers already harvested 63 million tons of grain, which is an absolute historical record. 29 million tons of maize, 22 million tons of wheat, 11 million tons of sugar beet and 10 million tons of sunflower were harvested. Also, 900,000 tons of grain crops are already in the state intervention fund to ensure food security of the country.

According to Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, almost all crops improved performance from last year.

As the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food analysts predict, at year-end 2013 gross production growth will total 8.2-9.3%.
