Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov has assured the people, who are demonstrating their position in the Independence Square, no force will be used on the part of the authorities, his press service reported.

"Our opponents are trying to keep the strain in the society all the time, spread rumours and perform provocative acts. The same is now: they are frightening people by using violent actions to remove people from maidan. As the Prime Minister, I declare responsibly: no force will be used against peaceful rally participants!" the Prime Minister stressed.

He also called on the politicians not to push the people to act against security forces and not to commit provocations.

Together with that he addressed the citizens with an earnest request in this tense atmosphere to keep the law, remain calm, not to yield to provocations created by extremists.

Moreover, he considers necessary to conduct an explanatory work among diplomats targeting to explain the real situation. "Concerning statements of foreign diplomats: it is necessary that these statements accounted for real circumstances. That’s why we are committed to explain the situation maximally and confirm once again the absence of force approaches to solving of the problems," Mykola Azarov said.
