The Accredited Certification Center of Electronic Keys at the Ministry of Revenue and Duties will provide free certificates to users of Uniform and State Registers of Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. To obtain the digital signature, citizens will have to contact the registration offices of the Center. Now, there are 104 offices like that in Ukraine, the Information-Analytical Bulletin of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine informs.
Analysts note that, in the 11 months of 2013, the Certification Center of Electronic Keys issued over 895,000 of electronic signatures. Every month, the Center receives 50,000 applications for the keys. This is twice as much as last year. According to department experts, individual entrepreneurs represent the largest category of clients, they account for 77% of all issued electronic signatures.
In general, in the 11 months of 2013, the Center registered 465,400 individuals, who were provided with 541,100 electronic signatures. Also, 138,000 legal entities were issued 353,000 keys.
Experts say since Nov. 1, 2013, enhanced certificates of public keys from Ministry of Revenue are issued for two years. The Key Certification Center has been appropriately certified and accredited. Then, servers and process certificates have been updated, which allowed to extend validity of digital signatures. Experts note that, in future, Ministry of Revenue will be able to extend the validity of electronic keys up to three and later – up to six years.
Keys of electronic signatures issued by the Center enable submission of online reports to bodies of the Ministry, to State Statistics Committee, and to Pension Fund.
