Ukraine continues to adhere to the course towards European integration, President Viktor Yanukovych said during the meeting with the former presidents of Ukraine.
"European integration course of the state remains unchangeable. It is enshrined in the laws of our state," he said.
President noted that in May 2010, the program of reforms was initiated, aimed at achieving standards of living, close to European standards. "We carry out this program. There are some delays, reasoned by sometimes insufficient funding," the President said.
However, he added that the economy, development of the state, reforms, and European integration are connected with each other. "Therefore, the reforms are certainly foundation of success. Improvement of people's lives should be the result of this work. This is the aim of the government," the President summed up.
