United States and the European Union are hoping for a peaceful settlement of the situation in Ukraine, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland said after the meeting with leaders of the Ukrainian opposition.
"We expect the situation in Ukraine to stabilize," said Nuland, adding that, in particular, the U.S. and the EU expect stabilization in the economic sphere.
