This announcement was made Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Prisyazhnyuk during a telethon aired by the First National TV Channel, the Information-Analytical Bulletin of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine informs.

The minister said the effort is ongoing to consolidate Ukrainian positions on Asian markets. In the last 10 months, the largest volume of domestic agricultural products (34.4%) was exported to those markets. The European Union is in second place is held by the European Union. It accounts for 27% of the total agricultural export. The third place by volume of Ukrainian exports is held by Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) at 22.5%.

Experts from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy note that there is no controversy about picking up the way. Ukraine will keep implementing the policy of European integration. It is defined by decisions of Ukrainian President and legislative acts, experts say.

The only question is the pace of European integration. Given the export-oriented nature of agricultural sector, ministry experts see the main task in implementing the actions that will help Ukraine become a full EU partner.

Prisyazhnyuk said the ministry is enhancing efforts to prepare for entering the EU markets on equal terms and with maximum protection of our positions.

Experts note that, in the last 9 months, Ukraine exported agricultural products (including finished food products) for 11.3 billion USD. This is almost a quarter of Ukrainian exports during this period.
During the period, Ukraine exported to Russia agricultural products (including finished food products) for 1.37 billion USD and imported from Russia products for 0.57 billion USD.
