President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych has supported the idea of the first head of state of independent Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk about holding the national round table to find a compromise.
"Kravchuk addressed Yanukovych with a proposal to hold a national round table to find a compromise in this situation and to invite both the authorities and the opposition," the President’s press office reports.
President supported this initiative.
According to him, such a round table can become a platform for mutual understanding.
Meeting of four presidents to discuss critical issues facing the country is scheduled for tomorrow, at the suggestion of Kravchuk.
