The night was calm in the territory occupied by protesters in the center of Kyiv.
A concert of Ukrainian performers continued thorough the night on the stage in Independence Square, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
As of 7.30 am, there were several dozen people near the stage. Most of the protesters had spent the night in tents, the Trade Union House, the building of the city administration and Zhovtnevy Palace. They also patrolled the barricades put up in a number of streets in the neighborhood of district offices.
The most serious outposts were set up near the building of Verkhovna Rada where the road is blocked by a dump truck and several cars. Barbed wire was unrolled in Liuteranska Street near the presidential administration.
In addition to the barricades built Sunday evening one more appeared on Monday morning in Khreschatyk Street near the central department store.
It is snowing heavily in Kyiv now.
