President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed in Sochi preparation for the agreement on strategic bilateral partnership, including a roadmap concerning elimination of contradictions in economic and trade regimes, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said in an interview with foreign media, the press service of the Cabinet reports,
"Our President, returning from China, made a stop in Sochi, where the meeting was held, which was agreed in advance. We talk about preparation for the agreement on strategic partnership with the Russian Federation. The President continues forming our relations in the gas sector," Azarov said.
He noted that Ukraine and Russia are set to eliminate contradictions in bilateral relations that accumulated over the past three and a half years, including the most important contradictions - disagreement on gas supply and violation of bilateral industrial cooperation.
