State social assistance to children is paid in time, social policy minister of Ukraine Natalia Korolevska said during a conference call, ForUm correspondent reports.
"In Ukraine, 3.700 people receive different forms of government and social assistance to children. 39 billion 800 million UAH are allocated for their payment in 2013, which is almost 20% more than last year. As of today, we paid 35 billion 860 million UAH. State social assistance is paid in time," the minister said.
She stressed that 3 billion 452 million UAH were paid in November. "The requests for funding the first tranche of assistance for December have been already sent. The State Treasury is expected to allocate funds soon so that people could receive them the next week," the minister explained.
According to Korolevska, size of state aid to families with children, low-income families, disabled children and the disabled from childhood has increased in December by 6.2% due to rising living wage.
