According to the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, a stable growth of freight and passenger traffic in the transport sector of Ukraine was ensured in the 11 months of 2013, the Information-Analytical Bulletin of the cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine informs.

The active growth is observed in aviation, despite withdrawal of several players from the market earlier this year. Thus, from January to November, the air transport of Ukraine has transported 7.5 million passengers: international flights – 6.405 million, and domestic flights – 1.115 million persons. In total, it is 98.6% of the last year's volume for the same period. But if the trend continues, the December performance will make this year even more productive for aviation than the previous one. In November alone, Ukrainian airlines carried 555,900 passengers (up 6.1% year-on-year). The number of passengers on international routes increased by 8.7%, to 465,200. The domestic traffic is 94.3% compared with November 2012, 90,700 passengers used the services of airlines up-country.

According to preliminary estimates, passenger traffic through Ukrainian airports amounted to 1.137 million persons in November, up 18.1% from November 2012. In the 11 months of 2013, the airports received and sent 14.070 million passengers (up 6.7% year-on-year). The freight traffic through the airports was 4,000 tons in November (up 2.6% from November 2012), and for 11 months — 37,200 tons (91.2% to 2012).

The country's main Borispol airport boosted its performance by 12.6% in November 2013 from November 2012. In particular, the airport served 623,900 passengers in November: 562,000 people — on international lines, 61,900 people — on domestic lines. In the 11 months, the airport handled 7.321 million passengers: 6.644 million — on international flights, 676,800— on domestic flights.
