According to agreements reached by the Ukrainian delegation in China, Ukraine will be able to raise additional 8 billion USD of investments.

"Today we signed the documents that have already been prepared. They expand economic cooperation. We have not yet calculated how much it will be in terms of money, but in the past we believed the deals would bring about  8 billion USD in investments to Ukraine's economy,” President Viktor Yanukovych said, the Information-Analytical Bulletin of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine informs. 

The president added that his talks in China focused on issues of aircraft and shipbuilding areas, energy and agro-industrial sectors, as well as issues concerning the construction of infrastructure projects.

In total, based on the results of Ukrainian-Chinese business forum in the framework of Yanukovych's official visit, three memoranda were signed, along with one agreement and one large commercial contract. 

Minister of Economic Development and Trade Ihor Prasolov noted that Ukraine 
had received a clear perspective of cooperation with China in the development, manufacture and maintenance of aircraft, railroad rolling stock (national project "Air Express") and construction of port infrastructure. 
According to him, cooperation between business communities of the parties will be enhanced in the near future.

Experts believe that due to the signed commercial contract Ukraine plans to increase the supply of food to China, sunflower oil in particular. At the same time, Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (UUIE) agreed to cooperate with the Chinese Association for International Contractors. Also, the State Concern Ukroboronprom is reviewing the possibility of attracting trade credits from Chinese companies to modernize its enterprises.

In particular, during the meeting of Sergei Gromov, General Director of Ukroboronprom with the leaders of military-industrial company PolyTechnologies, prospects of cooperation in the development and modernization of armored vehicles, high-precision weapons, joint development of advanced weapons systems, in particular in the field of shipbuilding, were discussed.

Ukroboronprom’s cooperation with Chinese partners in military-technical sphere was also discussed.
