The decision to include Petrykivka painting into the List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage was adopted at the meeting of the Special Commission for the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage of the UNESCO in Baku on Thursday, the press service of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council reports.

At the Commission’s meeting, participants review applications for the completion of the list with new customs and forms of creativity. The event is attended by about 780 representatives from 116 countries of the world.


In preparation for Intangible Heritage of Humanity nominating, Petrykivka painting was presented in a variety of European countries during the promotional tour.
