Ukraine's OSCE chairmanship deserves the highest estimate, Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov said at the OSCE Ministerial Council in Kyiv on Thursday.
He noted that "A member of the CIS chairs the OSCE for the second consecutive time. In our opinion, the work of Ukraine, as previously the work of our Kazakh colleagues, deserves the highest estimate".
He also noted that "the Ukrainian chairmanship gave a start to the process of "Helsinki +40", and every effort should be made to complete it with adoption of a conceptual and strategic document to determine the way of harmonious development of cooperation in all dimensions of security".
The OSCE Ministerial Council meeting has been opened in Kyiv today.
