The President of Ukraine has set a task for the state budget of 2014 to increase financing of construction and repair works of local roads, Prime Minister of Ukraine told the government at the morning sitting.
"The President of Ukraine rightly noted the poor condition of Ukrainian roads. Let's be honest, 90% of roads cannot carry the loads and overloads of modern heavy freight vehicles, which destroy the covering and even foundation," Azarov said.
Thus, the task of the President - to construct new regional roads - has been put among priorities for 2014.
The Premier underlined that in order to meet the task, the government must take measures on resources' and organizational provision, including reformation of the state joint stock company "Ukravtodor".
