First vice PM Serhiy Arbuzov slams violent suppression of street protests in the Independence Square and promises to carry out a thorough investigation into the incident.
In an interview with Euronews channel the official assured that the investigation must answer the question who ordered this act of violence against protesters.
"To clear the square they (law enforcements - ed.) used violence. And someone ordered them to do so. We would like to know who gave that order. However, considering that everything happened so fast, I believe the decision was made on site, but I doubt someone wanted or expected to create such problems. Anyway, we do not approve such approach, and the investigation is ongoing," the vice PM said.
