President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych emphasizes the importance of cooperation between Ukraine and China at the regional level.
"We pay much attention to interregional cooperation. We believe that inter-regional cooperation mechanisms quickly resolve issues of trade and economic relations," Yanukovych said at the meeting with governor of Shaanxi Province Lou Qinjian in China, the President’s press office reports.
According to Ukrainian president, Ukraine is interested in the experience of China in the development of IT-technologies, aircraft manufacturing and oil and gas sphere.
In his turn, Governor of Shaanxi Province Lou Qinjian congratulated the President of Ukraine on the arrival to China.
He told that Shaanxi was the leader of China in the level scientific-technical potential. Particularly, scientific-technical centers and powerful projects in aviation and space spheres are located there. Also, according to him, the province is the biggest supplier of coal in China.
In the course of the meeting, Ukrainian and Chinese delegations arranged to elaborate a package of proposals on bilateral cooperation in the spheres of mutual interest.
