Prime Minister declares that the European Union agrees to consider providing financial compensations to Ukraine. He announced during a plenary sitting of the Parliament on December 3, the government’s portal informs.
“Yesterday in my presence the President of Ukraine has a long telephone conversation with the President of European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso. We agreed that we would continue negotiations in terms of conditions of concluding the Agreements on Association and FTA. This is the fate of Ukraine, its future. Both the European Commission and the European Union agree to consider issues of financial compensation to Ukraine. We just have to survive in this complicated struggle,” Mykola Azarov said.
According to him, the following week a Ukraine’s delegation will be sent to Brussels to negotiate financial compensation of Ukraine by the EU side. “Just yesterday J. Barroso gave instructions to the Head of EU delegation to Ukraine Jan Tombinski concerning organization of this trip”.
