The events happening in Ukraine have not had any impact on gross national product, principal of the International Business Institute, professor Oleksandr Savchenko told a press conference, ForUm's correspondent reports.

"Gross national product is formed not in Kyiv, but at big enterprises, in trade and export. Thus, the revolutionary situation has not caused any decrease of GNP yet. I must say that GNP is formed also in banks and even education sphere, but traditionally, Ukraine depends more on large industry and trade, and less on finances. Thus, I don't believe the economy has suffered somehow as of today," he said.

The expert also informed that he had appealed to all participants of the revolutionary events, both the authorities and opposition, with a request "to leave banks, finances and large industry out of it," as it concerns interests of all parties involved, especially common Ukrainians.
