St. Michael's Monastery monks are not against sheltering the people gathered in the monastery, the press service of the monastery told ForUm correspondent.
"Monks do not mind people staying in the monastery’s territory, but they ask not to hold rallies there. Officers of the "Berkut" special forces stay right outside the gates," the press service says.
The participants of the rally, broke up in the Maidan Nezalezhnosti Square, now stay in the territory of St. Michael's Cathedral and drink hot tea.
