Due to a number of collisions and incidents, occurred over the last few hours in the Maidan Nezalezhnosti Square, Kyiv police decided to push people away from the main square of the capital.
The Kyiv Interior Ministry department emphasized that during disrupting of the protests in Maidan, "protesters threw pyrotechnics and stones to police officers and damaged a police bus".
Earlier, clashes between rally participants and police officers happened in the Maidan Nezalezhnosti Square.
At the moment, about 50 protesters in support of Ukraine's European integration stay in the underpass near the exit to Maidan Nezalezhnosti Square, about 20 participants stay in the opposite street.
According to rally participants, 35 people have been detained and now are in the Shevchenkisky district police department.
At the moment, access to the part of the Maidan Nezalezhnosti Square, where the EuroMaidan tent camp was located, is blocked by police officers.
