The Cabinet approved the draft Agreement with the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on industrial cooperation, the Information-Analytical Bulletin of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine informs.
The document is related to launching serial production of An-140-100, An-158 and their modifications in the Republic of Kazakhstan, their repair, maintenance and after-sales service. It is also proposed to build a center of Antonov aircraft maintenance in Kazakhstan.
The expert report attached to the agreement states that the approval of the act will facilitate the expansion and improvement of cooperation between the countries in the aviation industry, further development of trade and economic relations. In addition, it will provide an opportunity to deploy serial production of AN-140 and AN-158 in Kazakhstan as an industrial cooperation project.
The projected results of the future agreement include increase of performance of the Ukrainian aviation industry, additional revenue from selling aircraft technology, loading the Kharkov State Aircraft Manufacturing Company and other companies in the aircraft industry in Ukraine with orders for aircraft parts and components for serial production of AN-140- 100 and AN-158.
To date, AN-1400-100 is currently produced in three countries: Russia, Ukraine and Iran. Kazakhstan airlines use aircrafts produced in Russia and Ukraine. After signing the agreement, Kazakhstan will assembly the newest Antonov aircrafts in the country.
