Ukraine and Slovakia are to sign the agreement on reverse gas supplies in amount of more than 10 billion cubic meters next week. Energy and coal industry minister of Ukraine Eduard Stavytsky said this on the sidelines of a business forum of the "Eastern Partnership" in the Lithuanian capital.

"We received the agreement from our partners. The work is conducted to sign this agreement next week," Stavytsky said.

According to him, "we are talking about at least ten billion cubic meters of gas".
"This is a historic moment, 100 percent diversification of gas supply routes to Ukraine!" the minister added.

He also said that Ukraine will import gas from Slovakia in the second half of next year and that the Slovak side wants some guarantees of that Ukraine would take amounts of at least ten billion cubic meters of gas.
