
Since the beginning of 2013, 36 billion UAH of social assistance have been paid, social policy minister Natalia Korolevska told a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The state budget provides more than 40 billion UAH of social assistance to families with children, poor families, disabled from childhood, children with disabilities and temporary state aid this year. This is by seven billion UAH or by 21% more than in 2012. From the beginning of this year, the state aid amounting to 36 billion UAH have been accrued and paid. It is by 5.6 billion UAH more than during the same period last year," she said.
According to her, the first tranche of state aid was fully funded and paid in November. The financing and payment of the second tranche is now being completed.
She also noted that as of November 26, the social security funds paid 21 billion 829 million UAH to insured persons.
