Leader of the Party of Regions Oleksandr Yefremov hopes that the issue of Ukraine's European integration will be discussed next week at the meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
"I think that the issue will be considered from the point of view of national security at the NSDC meeting next week and people will be told what's going on while moving in one or another direction," Yefremov said in the "Shuster Live" political TV program Friday evening.
Yefremov stressed that he considers actions of the Ukrainian authorities correct. "The main thing is that we made everybody in the country think about the need to move to a new quality of work, new quality of products," Yefremov said.
"No matter when the European integration will start, we will increase productivity, adopt new standards, produce the products competitive in the European market," Yefremov said.
