Ukraine has great prospects for cooperation with China, chairman of the Association of Ukrainian-Chinese cooperation Ihor Lytvyn said during a round table "East geopolitical vector of Ukraine: only Russia?", ForUm correspondent reports.
Lytvyn noted that the previous government, which understood the need to cooperate closely with China, failed to achieve anything in this matter.
"We are talking about the possibility of China to become a gateway to Asia-Pacific region for Ukraine for the next 20 years. I fully support the optimism of our government," the expert said.
He added that if China was a partner of Ukraine now, Ukraine would not have to choose between the EU and Russia.
